Dr. Gillespie manned the Tooth Bus in September 2009. Patients served were clients of the Christian Women's Job Corps and Haywood Baptist Association outreach ministries.

Meeting physical needs provides an opportunity to meet spiritual needs.

The tooth bus travels all over North Carolina. Last year they logged almost 20,000 miles and treated 4,000 patients.

The bus has been modified to accommodate two dental chairs, radiograph equipment, and a sterilization bay.

Power is supplied by generators and can also be run from outside electrical sources. Each bus has its own water supply and gray water tanks.

At 6'1", Dr. Gillespie bumped his head several times entering the operatories!
